busy weekend
I feel like instead of getting the things done this summer that I wanted to get done... I'm just getting further and further behind. *sigh*
Went to the Ren Faire in Michigan yest. It was a long day. It's really too far to go (when you add in the hour delay crossing at customs that morning -*sheesh don't know what they were looking for but they were searching a LOT of cars.)
The Michigan Ren Faire could be awesome... but honestly - it was just too much. Too many stages, too many vendors, too many people. It was overwhelming. We covered only about half the vendors and only saw two shows. I guess the performers weren't making much money either (which is too bad because the shows we caught were really funny.)
I suppose if we do it again we will really have to consider making a weekend of it and getting a hotel room/staying overnight. Which means dog sitters and etc.
Having lunch with a friend tomorrow.
And one of my students has emailed to say she will be performing at my Open House. I'm impressed.
