sewing

I'm working on my costume for the May 30 performance today.  A very soft white cotton pant with a pseudo lace/eyelet in the lower half of the leg.  I'm just trying to figure out the best way to gather it at the knee.... I am wearing it with a yarn belt that has a black base with black, purple, turquoise, blue & white fringe.  Trust me - it works.
I haven't figured out the top yet.  I could wear my black coin bra. or I could make a coordinating vest to wear with it or instead.... or... I don't know. I was thinking I wanted to make a white tribal costume... but... 

J is running some errands and finishing up the making of a cabinet in the basement to cover pipes

AND if we can we are going to try and make it to Wolverine today.

We could spend days doing that... and to have someone pin something THAT ACTUALLY KNOWS WHAT THEY are doing??

Yesterday I dumped all my fabric bins out looking for something that would make a good top/accent colour. (still have to put it all back.)

Today I made the top... well it's 3/4 finished anyway. I made a cheater Turkish vest - out of stretch velvet. I want to put some darts in the back - It's a little big & I need to hem it at the bottom but the armholes & neck are finished. I may still decorate it though...

And I'd like something ... turquoise to tie that colour in more...
