political science question...

say Country A is having some internal difficulties, ethnic tensions etc.

AND they decide to kick out a bunch of people.

AND all of those people end up in refugee camps in Country B.

Now a bunch of nations, Countries C, D, E.... etc. say okay - we'll take in some of these 'refugees'

Does that mean that Countries C,D & E are politically sympathetic to Country A, or opposed to the policies of Country A. Or are they just sympathetic to the plight of the refugees and neither approve or disapprove of the way Country A is dealing with their internal issue?

I'd appreciate the insight.

I've always avoided political science questions.

As a historian it just always seemed to me to be - that's just the way it happened - I've generally avoided judgment calls like this.

My guess would be C, they're sympathetic to the plight of the refugees. I mean it could be any of the above, or a combination of them, but my first thought if I read about such a thing would be that countries C D and E were likely just trying to help people in trouble.

Of course, politics doesn't work that way so it's probably some other answer not even listed, really. There's always ulterior motives in politics, no one does anything just to be nice.

Any or all of the three, depending on circumstances, I'd say.
