I miss my LJ peeps.

I am so very busy with stuff and I really shouldn't be on the computer at all.

I should be rehearsing.  probably IN costume.  checking for loose hooks etc.

but... I'm here. checking messages, checking LJ making sure you are all okay.

Looks like I *maybe* *might* *possibly* *fingers crossed* get my truck back tomorrow.

I'd like that very much.

Post office run today.  That was... -meh- not so much fun as we got another dump of snow overnight Sunday. I've had enough of winter.

P.S.  My imaginary friend loves me & thinks I'm AWESOME!

I haven't been on LJ much lately, either... no energy to write out anything more than a sentence or two. Our show was Saturday, did pretty well, have some pictures if you're interested. The captions are all very smarmy-nice, political not-rocking-the-boat stuff, you know.

the photos are great - thank you for sharing. Yes it is difficult to write captions that... don't rock the boat... when what you are really thinking is ... you need about 10 more YEARS of lessons.

I'm watching a couple of my students rehearse for Saturday's show thinking... "For now we are working on stage confidence, next month we are drilling the H*LL out of those mayas and wretched arms girl!"

I just try to remember that's probably what they're thinking about me! ;) I really am still a baby belly dancer, and while I've been told I have good moves, I am NOT a performer. I do need to work on stage confidence, presence and SMILING. The dance I have down and could probably do even if you chopped my head off!

Though I do have some arm issues due to my spectacularly crappy shoulder. :/ I do need to work on that, at least modify in a way that doesn't look like I'm just being lazy!

Or, alternatively, I could just always perform in a giant bunny costume. I've been told that was a wonderful performance, the best I've ever done... I'm... not sure how to take that... ;)

I hope it's a wig, because that's some straw-looking stuff there... And the color really doesn't suit her. :/ Anyway, I'm not particularly happy she got second, but glad she didn't win. I'm on the fence about the final 6 DVD, but I might go for it. I dunno. $20 is a bit to spend, but not nearly as much as some of the others. On the other hand, it is 6 25-minute lessons, so...

I think the six short lessons will be worth it - think about it as nearly 3 HOURS of video. I was going to wait and see if it would be a package deal with the winner - but I asked on the fan forum and apparently they won't be filming the winner's DVD for a few months so... if you want it soon...

I'm actually wondering if Sherena might not have copies for sale at the end of March when I see her at the Ava workshop. Possible.

Oh! That would make sense, I think I just heard 'second' and spaced out the rest. The video was being a little choppy and not wanting to play. :/

I am thinking that because it is so long, it's worth $20. So we'll see. I do still have some BD DVDs I haven't watched, because I don't really have a good place in my house to watch and be able to move...
