tips for neck tension and headache relief....
Since I typed this out for someone else... thought I might share it with you...
I learned some pretty good neck stretches and an interesting headache relief method I haven't tried yet....
I tend to do left then right before moving to the next exercise.
sit up straight - neck straight.
1)look over shoulder at back of room - hold for 1-2 breaths.
2)lean your head gently over imagine touching ear to shoulder -hold for 1-2 breaths
3)lean your head forward - imagine touching nose to armpit - hold for 1-2 breaths
4)lean head forward - imagine touching ear to armpit - hold for 1-2 breaths
To relieve a headache - put two tennis balls into a clean sock - tie a knot so that the tennis balls are at the end of the sock & can't separate. Lie on your back on a flat surface - like the floor (or a bed I suppose) position the tennis balls directly at the base of your skull. Supposed to be good for tension headaches that start at the neck/skull.
Failing that chocolate until you pass out
