difference in mirrors.

why is it that I can put on a bellydance costume 

look at myself in the mirror and think....

OMG - you look FABULOUS. Absolutely stunning.

I go into a store try on a pair of jeans or six and think OMG - you look terrible.  seriously.  you suck. yuck.

Clearly it's bad mirrors & bad lighting.

I still bought a pair of jeans.  the least sucky of the pairs I tried on - because - I needed them. badly.
