Saw our vet today.
Mason has been refusing food even more, the small lump in his abdomen - has grown that combined with his weight loss makes it feel huge.
He's at the lowest weight he's ever been. 93.5 lbs. Skin & bones. We've put him on an appetite stimulant just to get him through a few more days.
We've taken him home to say good bye. I couldn't do it today.
They will come out and make a house call on Monday - if he seems improved we may be able to post pone the house call until Friday but she thinks it is time for us to let go.
He had a good visit there today and even smiled in the truck - going for a ride - came home and ate a little. Is it ever a good time? no but - today is not the day. I might be doing this for me, keeping him with me, but I can't - couldn't do it today.
Now I need to NOT cry and put on my happy face because I am performing tonight! so Smile though your heart is breaking.
