crud

just arrived in my email box.

a zills workshop - by a local instructor.  locally.  2 hrs.  $30. - cheap.   my zills skillz could use surely use some work but then...  it isn't something I practice.  much.

the crappy part. it's the same day as the Audra workshop.  In Stratford.  that I'm driving 3hrs for.  and 3hrs back.

dang.dang.dang.

IMO - go to the further workshop. Contact the local teacher, tell her you would love to attend her zills workshop but that you have a previous commitment for that weekend and ask her to let you know when she will be doing another workshop in the future.

Because of the family stuff I have to do this year, I'm getting really good at making those calls/sending those notes (especially because the family stuff is a 6hr drive away)

well since I already paid for the farther one...I'm definitely headed there.

but you're right - I'll email the organizer and tell her if she can give me advance notice I'd be up for it if she runs it again.

I agree. Go for the farther one. Local workshops have a better chance of getting repeated.

that's where I'll be. LOL :)

I just wish I'd known about the other one sooner.
