open house - 1 day away.

so if you are tired of reading my essays...

this open house is already paying off for me.


I had one lady call me yest - Thursday doesn't work for her at the moment (cooking class) but she wants another night or the next session.

One lady called me today - doesn't know if she can make 6:30 - consistently - she doesn't finish work until 6... another night? something later? would she be out of her depth in beyond beginners?

And the last call was from one of the nail salons - they have 5-6 can I run a class for them - could it possibly be Monday nights (well not until April because I presently have classes on Monday nights of my own. but we could maybe work something out)

- and these are just the people who are NOT coming to the open house.

So tomorrow is the big test.

I still have... hmmm. My identify the bellydancer quiz to do - but that shouldn't be too hard. And the history thing to finish - still might get scrapped. The more I think about it... maybe I should... I don't really want to shatter all their illusions.

And for my last poster board - I'm just going to stick up random photos. It might be nice to do a collage of images (all ones that I've taken myself)

That's so awesome. You DESERVE this. You've worked so hard and I'm so happy it's paying off. I can't wait to hear how the open house goes. I wish I could be there! I really hope you don't scrap the history lesson. I think what you have written so far is really good and if done correctly, you won't be shattering their illusions. Think of it as replacing wrong illusions with proper illusions. After you tell them what belly dancing isn't, tell them what it IS! Feel thier minds with stories about all the beautiful and wonder that IS belly dancing. Does this make sense? Anyhow, it's your open house but I thought I'd share my opinion. Hugs.
