eMusic

I'm going to sign up with eMusic again.

I had signed J up for it ages ago.  This was before he got satellite radio.  A friend of his recommended it and why not, right? $10/30 downloads?

Except... eMusic specializes in "independant" artists.  not top 40 anything,

It does have an amazing selection of bellydance music.  So. I used his subscription for a while but because it was supposed to be for 'his' music - I got tired of waiting to see if he was going to use up his allotment for the month - so I terminated it.

The other day I was playing some of the stuff that I downloaded off eMusic for myself way back when, and realized it is among some of my favourite music.  Some especially very good stuff for teaching and whatnot.

I need to cheer up.  And if I'm going to be teaching several nights a week.  I'm going to be needing new music.

Sounds interesting. I've been downloading off iTunes and it's like $10 an album which is usually $1 per song. I'll check out emusic.

Friend of mine was just talking about downloading "Mazamir Holiday" from eMusic. I think she's planning to have us dance to it in May at a hafla.

I downloaded two albums... the Lou Bastion project...and... One Night in Cairo. & love them both.

I still have a ton of downloads available this month as they gave me 50 free for signing up. (So I paid for my 30, and got 50 free.) I'd be completely pimping out their site but... for every friend I refer I get free downloads... so I'm going to wait until AFTER I've used up the ones I have.
