choreography is the bane (sp?) of my existance. I'm not very good with it. period. ever. So I found Saturday very very frustrating. I don't think I ever completely captured any of the combinations before she moved on to the next. I couldn't see what she was doing and it was far too crowded.
I did enjoy the performance tremendously. I saw you! your troup was great!
All (or Most) of the performances were wonderful and even the ones that were less than, well I admire them for getting up on stage.
Cassandra's was AWESOME.
Today (I only stayed until the lunch break...) was great. She did some veil work to warm up, then some zills then a bunch of hip drills and layering movements, combining the shimmy with the hip circle, fig 8, maya. Truthfully today is the workshop that best suited me.
When I left Cassandra was going to work through lunch with anyone who wanted to go through yesterday's choreography.
I'm sorry that I left when I did, but I was just wiped out. Tired from the day before, didn't sleep well, my room had a defective alarm clock - it went off at 5am, and 8 and 10 to 9, and 5 after 9 and god knows it's probably still going off.... AND as terrible as this is... I have an essay due in my university class tomorrow, still only in second draft and I have to finish it.
I've come home, had a nap and a shower and I'm going to push through until I get a version I can email to my proof reader, who can zip it back to me, (hopefully in time to make corrections before class.) I hate to hand it in late.
It does give me a better idea of what to look for in my next workshop though, if I go to a next workshop....I'm not sure that my skill set is up to it. Although if they were all like today.... that would be ... phenominal.
