shopping!

bought fabric.

bought some lovely cerulean blue to make a cover up.  I wanted something with a pattern but... I'll just glitz up the edges with some decorative trim.

and some stretch purple to try the trumpet skirt.  If it works - I'll splurge on some expensive fabric.

Decided against the burgundy  or the sheer beige (for more circle skirts)  Decided I don't need those. and while I love the burgundy colour... the fabric was - less than ideal for anything else I had in mind at the moment.

Also bought some purple wash in/wash out hair colour  - I know it is only temporary.  But I only need a temporary change.

Finished the gold pants.  Also found more of the same gold fabric.  So If I wanted to I could make both the bra top AND a vest.  Still haven't found the front portion of my vest pattern????  may be winging that one too.

Pretty color. :) So, a royal blue is deeper?

I really need to do some sewing! Have to make that new costume fit and I think I'll make my own panel skirt... and a few hip scarves appropriate for dance class (no beads or coins).

Mermaid skirt--that's what I've heard of.

Hair color is so fun! I've never done the blue/purple temporary wash-in, but might do it for Halloween someday.

royal blue is deeper... I would think of this as a denim blue but... it's so much richer and denim has so many variations.

Exactly. And if you like the effect, you could always recolour it, or do it another colour. ^_^

Looking forward to pictures!

Always believed in dyeing over cutting. Did Manic Panic purple for a couple years, now I'm doing henna (which seems to grow out instead of fade).

Gotta get working myself on the yarn belt for April's event.
