I don't see bhuz that way. I think that people have different opinions on things and we shouldn't always follow the adage - "don't have something nice to say - don't say anything at all." Sometimes someone does have to speak out. Someone should step up and say... Adore's performance 'sans' pants is tacky.
but to recap what I'd been reading the discussion went something like... bellydance shouldn't be about the latest "prop" or "trick" like rope or a wineglass - you best prop is your body, more dancers should focus on that... bellydance should be etc.
further discussion as to is there historical accuracy in dancing with a wine glass as a prop - (apparently there is...)
I'm not the only one squicked by the disrobing. The guy is a great dancer but why did he have to make undressing part of his routine... (unless he's like me trying to figure out how to do a costume change -on stage!)
I really liked the last troupe from Korea - with veil too bad that one was so short.
