I have a lot of cotton broadcloth on hand that is just sitting around...I thought I might give it a whirl when I've got nothing else to do...ha.

After making both pairs, I like the gauze ones better myself - just in the fabric store I was really nervous about the level of sheer. Now they are made... no worries.
