sewing overload.

So I bought a lot of fabric yest. (and washed it)  They were having a pretty good sale...

This morning I cut out and made two pairs of harem pants in two different fabrics.  And serged them  - unfortunately I ran out of my wider elastic in black so - only one pair has an elastic waist.  The other has a temporary drawstring.  One is in a very very dark pinstripe navy so dark - you almost can't tell it isn't black - but it's polyester.  :(   The other is in a black cotton gauze.  I was worried that they would be a little sheer on the body - which is why I bought the navy  polyester.

I'm going to bring both pairs with me tonight and see which they prefer. 

Also serged the edges of a new gold chiffon veil AND the gold chiffon I bought to make poi tails with.   I'm tired of sewing now.

Have to make sure I get more elastic tomorrow.

Also should email my sister and wish my niece a happy 14th birthday.  yippie.  Hope I don't get roped into the b-day party.

I spent yesterday during free time at work pinning the 10 yd skirt (oh, and the gathering that goes with it). Then last night was the sewing. Today is gathering and pinning the waistband. YIKES I might actually get it done before Saturday!!! LOL

IMO - I like gauze. Just make sure they wear black undies. It's only really dangerous when it gets wet (like wearing a gauze outfit at Disney and then being caught in a rain burst and no longer being "disney friendly" LOL)
