If it were plain, You could do your cuts as (bear with me here). You'd probably get more pieces than I'm showing because you'll need to adjust for your height and hip size.

Then you could piece that together (I used . to make spacing)
.../||\......./\ ../*||*\...../**\ sew the triangles together ./**||**\.../****\ /***||***\./******\
