I don't know anything about sewing and it sounds like you already have a plan, but you might be able to make a panel skirt out of it. katitious is wearing one in this video:
Anyway, lots of tribal girls wear panel skirts. I agree though, it will look great with a gold coin bra/belt.
I don't know much about it, but isn't there something called Triaret? It's like cabaret and tribal combined. I'm sure you'll find your own self though.
