(no subject)

why do I need to sign up for Facebook to view anything on there.

my friend emails me and says - all the information is on my Facebook page.

in order to view said information... I have to sign up for a Facebook account

Is it really worth it.  Am I going to need it/use it/ view it for anything else? ever?

I don't know. I haven't bothered with Facebook. Most people I've heard from about it say it's not worth it and they cancelled their account; that's all I know!

well I'm signing up with an email I never use. I actually think I may have blocked facebook from sending me emails when I had this non-friend send me 99 invitations to join her facebook page over the course of 2 days or something...

not only do I need to "sign up" I then need to "find friends" and "add them as friends" in order to view anything. Wanna bet I then have to wait for them to approve me as a friend.

what a ...

yeah I can see why people delete their accounts... it reminds me of high school only worse.

It's pretty much high school people finding each other.

So, it's Classmates, without the spam.

Hmmm. Glad I didn't bother!

Sounds kukky. Make her join MySpace instead. Or, better yet, HERE!

I hate it.

I only use it to talk to some family members on occasion, since I can't use the phone, they don't have instant messengers, and I don't know about them and email.

Don't stick pictures on it, either. There's a lot of fine-print about once you put your pictures up there, they belong to Facebook.

Only you can decide if it's right for you. Two of my very best friends reply to email on Facebook in about 3 days, but it takes them 2 weeks if I use their real email addresses. I have found high school friends, I email more with relatives, and I have added almost all of my past bellydance teachers. Sometimes they post bellydance events. If I had the time and money, I'm more in the loop dance wise.

high school?!? - *shudders with horror*
relatives?!? - HELL NO!
past bellydance teachers.... well I still talk to most of them and they generally respond to email within a day or two...

so I guess I don't need/want Facebook for anything.
