So Friday I talked to Campus Rec at the University and got registered for yet another beginner belly dance class. I know I hardly need another beginner class but it does keep me in practice and at only $35 for 10 weeks it is a BARGAIN. The desk clerk says the class fills up fast and the instructor is really good. It's cheap and it won't break the bank. If I find I'm not getting much out of it I won't feel bad about dropping it and switching to Vicki's class. Once I AM back in practice I will think about maybe taking zils with Krista. Its just really hard to justify that kind of money.
Last night I saw this girl in a nightclub... I noticed she was belly dancing - so I went over to talk to her, ask her which style she favoured (looked like tribal to me)... but hoping to find out who her instructor was. First off she was American, second she had no idea what I meant by style and then come to find out she was entirely self taught in the last two years just by watching tapes and stuff, never taken a lesson. SICK I tell you. She was really really good. She did favour her right side over her left but still.... ugh. made me feel pretty rotten. I should be more dedicated and put more time and energy into practicing. *sigh*
I should - I really should.
