first day of class
what a great class- great energy.
full though - very full - more than 30 students and the instructor said to the administrator - just sign anyone in that wants it - It's a big room and she doesn't mind. I'm personally torn over this - a smaller class we would definitely get more individual attention but having been on the other end of it - unable to get into a class because it was full or having a class cancelled for lack of interest - I find that I don't mind at all - I'd rather the class WAS too full - I know that I'll still be there at the end in 10 weeks.
Great room too - fabulous full mirrors down the front and along one side.
It's hard to always be taking beginner classes though I have to really concentrate in order to do the moves slowly - but every one has a different way of teaching and in a few weeks she is planning to set us to learning a choreography - *sigh* I hate that but maybe because the class is such a introduction I will actually be able to learn it. I'm just so used to improvising that I can't remember what is supposed to come next.
She's a good instructor too - I like her.
This morning I did the Kathy Smith again. That's a good workout. Pool of sweat believe me. I wish they spent more video time on the backup dancers rather than Kathy herself but... still love the costumes.
I think I may pop into the little dance store on Howard and see if they have the choli/leotard style tops I saw one of the women in the video wearing. OR I really should make time for some sewing... in between reading for school and finishing up my paint projects around the house. etc etc.... *sigh*
