(no subject)

been a long time since I posted here. Some news on the dance front.

I took my mom with me too my last class of the semester - just to watch - My grandmother had died the week before and I thought it would be good for her to get out. She enjoyed it. The instructor was good about it too. One of the girls was a bit snarky but no one really minded much. She'd love to join in of course but the fact that she wears these humongous double knee braces kind of limits her mobility. She saves her knees for essential walking.

The next choreography that we are learning in the new semester is a veil piece. Should be fun. Has lots of undulations in it. So I'm looking forward to learning that.

I went out to try and buy some new fabric to match my red chiffon coin belt. Zilch. So I bought lilac on the hopeful chance that the new batch of belts that my teacher bought online would have a dark purple or something useful. No - apparently not. But I did buy some beaded trim and I do have some purple fabric on hand already so... I may give it a shot. Make my own belt.

I've done several of my tapes in the last several days. Having school over with for this semester gives me more free time for it. I shouldn't let school interfere so much but what with the funeral and the trip out west to see in laws... just fell off the groove.

But I'm ready for it now.
