HP. & dinner out.
I've just finished Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
I was behind a bit because my copy arrived while DH and I were in Toronto and then when we got back... I didn't have the heart to read it.
I started it yest and finished today.
It was and was not what I expected. At least now I can click on the links that say 'spoilers' without fear.
I feel sad.
----------
I've included a review of our dinner out last night.
last night DH and I went to the **a local restaurant** to see the belly dancer they had advertised and enjoy dinner out.
The food was excellent and the service fast. The live music beforehand would have been better replaced with canned music - but that's just my opinion. It was mostly some poorly done Frank Sinatra and other Italian standards. The vocalist invited people to dance, although no one did and offered to take requests.
I had called the restaurant beforehand and was told that the dancer came on at 10 pm, however, it was closer to 10:35 before she finally came out.
She did a brief 15-20 minutes set. She pulled both men and women from a rather small audience to dance with her. Her skills were not showcased to their best advantage in her brief set. There was some difficulty with her music and she had some trouble with a rather slippery tile floor.
Unfortunately the performance primarily took place in the lounge area, the bar area adjoining the smoking section - however she did travel among all the tables in the restaurant and did stop at all of them including the ones in the non-smoking section .
Her costume was almost as brief as her performance. DH and the other male patrons appreciated it, I'm sure.
All in all - an enjoyable evening. Certainly entertaining but I wouldn't expect a top notch performance although she may have been capable of it. The food alone makes it worth while.
I say go and enjoy it - I'm not sure they will be able to stay in business very long.

that's it. have a good one.
