I am not happy with how my transaction with Akai went after all.
After much email exchange and her agreeing to take the veil back... I said I would try to find some one local to take it off my hands rather than just trust to "return to sender" written on the envelope to get it back to her.
In the midst of all the flurry of emails she told me she was still very eager to convert me to the Akai brand. So ... we discussed possible designs and colours etc.
The last email I sent her... I said... how about *this* oh and btw, I found a buyer so I will be leaving feedback today.
I left the feedback... and never heard from her again. So... I'm kinda pissed.
Now she honoured our agreement, in that she offered to accept a return at no cost to me and refund my money... but I felt misled. I was all excited again at the prospect of a new veil in colours that I actually wanted....but... I guess she's not that interested in having me as a client.
I will probably order something from Kathy's contact in Ottawa. She apparently will dye to order and Kathy is happy with her... so..
also saw a veil recently on ebay with a pattern called "Purple Rain"... (small reference to Prince ... but I can ignore that because it was a truly beautiful pattern/colours.) but... she was asking far too much money for it.
and lastly on a happy/amusing note... I saw a Mastercard commercial last night - you know the ones that give you the run down on costs for this and that ... and in the end "priceless" - It had a bellydancer in it!!!! Actually it had her in nearly full costume, pumping gas on her way to her "belly dance class"
I'm going to see if I can find it on youtube and maybe post it to the community.
It made me smile. *diety* knows little enough does that lately.
