spoiled?

So DH is reading Harry Potter at a much slower pace than I am.  He's a slow reader and has this bizarre ability to put a book down - I don't understand it myself.  If a book is really gripping, really good - don't you have to find out how it ends?

In any case, I promised to try not to spoil it for him.  It is hard because, obviously, I want to talk about it and the other stuff I'm reading about what other people think of the ending.

We were walking the dogs last night (*as we do every night) and I stopped myself just before I said something... only to find out that  someone had  already spoiled it for him.

So either way it is spoiled sort of - I told him he'd have to read it for himself to find out the  how and the what

I just wish he'd hurry up and read it already!

This is from Violent Acres.

It is a pretty funny extra paragraph that this reader thinks should be tacked on at the end of the last HP.

I may have to print this out and stick it to the last page of my copy.
