I have moved nearly everything out of my sewing room so that I can paint it.  I've chosen what I think is a lovely plum shade.  It will go perfectly with those cast off bedroom dressers.  I've decided to chuck all the old storage systems in that room and use the cast off dressers to store all my sewing supplies.  Nice big deep drawers - so what if they don't all open as smoothly as they should.  How often am I going to need quilt batting or whatever.  Less used products go in the difficult drawers.  Often used products go in the drawers that still work.

Paint is on sale and I have a $10 off coupon.

Yes I am filling the time between now and my surgery with painting the interior of my house.  We've lived here more than eight years and I'm just getting around to painting most of the rooms.   Well not entirely true.  I painted the living room and dining room about 2 years in, the bedroom at 3 years.  I painted the hallway, stairway, kitchen & family room last summer and this year I've painted the powder room and office.   Next is the sewing room, bath & guest room....

I really need to get my sewing table fixed though... It belonged to my grandmother and has a flip section where the sewing machine used to go... unfortunately for me... this is now a big hole in the middle of the desk top. (at the moment I have a piece of cardboard taped over the hole.
I wonder if I took it over to my dad if he could router me a nice insert to fit in the space???
