I live in an auto town.  I live next door to DETROIT!

My dad worked for GM & Chrysler for years.  My mom used to sew seat covers for GM.

Hubby & I both worked for auto suppliers,  he still does.

All my family has at some point.  Most of my friends have.

It is not a picnic job.

Given that we used to have factories for all the Big 3.  HERE... it shocks the shit out of me when people drive foreign.  WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK IS EATING IN YOUR RESTAURANT?  Buying your computer programing? Paying their taxes to send kids into your school?  Coming in as a patient to your hospital?

If GM goes belly up... there are going to be a hell of a lot of people unemployed.  Think about it.

Usually I keep my mouth shut on this issue.  Yes it pisses me off but I don't like to talk politics.

The reason I am doing this today...  Got this in my email box....

CNN poll -

 Friends, Family and Co-workers,

CCN is conducting a poll on providing government backed loans to the
Detroit auto makers. The poll is rigged from the start to split the supporters into two groups. If you look at the current numbers its is 15% for and 46% against with 39% support with management changes.

CNN will use this data to say:

46% are against support
15% are for support

When the real numbers say:
46% are against support
54% are for support

Figures never lie, but liars always figure. Last time CNN pulled this stunt was the infamous poll " Who makes better cars GM or
Toyota"?

When GM won they said "GM stuffed the ballot box" and never posted final results. Having your voice heard in not stuffing the ballot box it call something CNN knows little about "Freedom of Speech".

Vote now vote often

I'd like to see my husband stay employed. I'd like to see my neighbours & family continue to stay employed.  I'd like to continue to teach dance classes in my little town.  I've already had students tell me they'd love to continue but...can't - lost her job, cut her hours at work.

Support us here or support us later after we're all unemployed & it's too late.
