teaching from home.
Apr. 23rd, 2009 10:27 amHad two nice dance classes last night.
One newbie was a no show -I'll call her later, tonight - I guess.
But although it was a small group for the first class and only one for the second. I was still happy about it. The second class will have 3 regularly and the first will be 4 usually - even without the no show.
The space is much better now that we moved all the weight equipment out of the space and down to the other end.
The big problem now is that I need to do something about covering the ceiling. Fabric? Paper?
We've made a decision THAT - I'm going to pay a % rent for the space based on the number of students that I have and that money will be used to continue to fix up the space. The % is the same as I'm paying at the yoga studio - so I shouldn't get any grief over it from the gov't IF I should ever get audited although... Do I then have to declare that money as income from rent on my personal taxes? Better talk to J's accountant about that.
ALSO I need to get rid of our (fold up) ping pong table. Thing is heavy as hell.
a)send out an email to everyone on my email list
b)post it to Kajiji
c)post it to cheapcycle
d)put it out in the driveway with a price on it. (disassemble, haul it upstairs, reassemble - sell it- then they get to disassemble it to haul it away)
too bad too - I love pingpong but we never play - no space- :(
I was in a good mood about all that but now I'm actually depressed. Someone sent me a couple of job postings. One I'm not qualified for. The second I AM but... is only open to union members - people already employed in this location looking to change/transfer. *sigh* sucks.
