not a bird bath...
May. 27th, 2009 01:27 pmI have two water dishes for the dogs.
One is inside - duh.
And I keep a second one outside on the deck. Mason likes to stay outside as much as possible and he *prefers* to drink water outside. Whatever - I humour him.
I suspect, however, that the new birds are using it as a bird bath - which is bad.
new birds as in the ones that are hatchlings and just learning to fly. - because the dogs can catch & eat them (cuts back on dog food)
but really - birds do carry their own parasites etc. and some of that can make your dog very ill. Especially bird feces. You should not have a bird feeder if you have a dog for this reason.
