the many to-do's

bought the new computer last night but no time to set it up.

today I have to....

-walk the dogs
-finish the ironing
-finish the choreography
-clean the house up - vacuum & mop ... because I cut the grass yest there are bits of grass all over the D@MN house and I have a green dog. She looks like she took St. Patrick's day a little too seriously.
-teach afternoon class
-teach two evening classes

what I'd like to do...
- have a nap (yes ALREADY)
- also - I have a good book - so a reading few chapters would be nice.
- set up the new computer

also on the to do list although not necessarily for today
- download additional tunes from eMusic
- update my website - HORRIBLY out of date!
- decide on the May performance piece.  :(   ... I can't decide what I want to do for a song let alone costuming... ugh.

I can't go swimming alone.

period.

not in a fresh water lake.  not in a swimming pool.

If I am with someone - I can be reasonable and mature about it.  but if I am swimming by myself it  feels spooky and creepy and I just end up getting out of the water.

why you ask?

I was about 7 or 8 and saw Jaws on television.  You know the scene where the shark grabs her by the leg and she's violent thrashing around... yeah.  that one.  Combine that with the fact that it was summer and we were going to the cottage my parents had rented on the lake.

I know it is completely illogical and silly.  It doesn't matter if it is.  I can't go swimming alone.
