NPR recently published the list of the top 100 science fiction and fantasy books as voted for by the public.
Here's the way I did it
1) strike out the ones you've read
2) italicise the ones you started to read but didn't finish
3) bold the ones you have but haven't read
1. The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, by J.R.R. Tolkien (some - didn't really care for it.)
2. The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, by Douglas Adams
3. Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card
4. The Dune Chronicles, by Frank Herbert - read a LONG, LONG time ago. Don't even remember realy

99. The Xanth Series, by Piers Anthony admit I love bad puns - but it's been forever since I tried to read any. Gave my collection to my niece when she was about 12-13. Agree the Immortality series is better. Also have a few of his other books around. I should probably get rid of them though if they are still here.

Lots of these sound familiar but I don't remember, likely I read them but they didn't survive our moves. Since then I've done a few more purges over the years and only held onto books I really enjoyed
