Nov. 7th, 2012 04:37 pmTODAY WAS MY LAST DAY AT CANADA POST - HUZZAH! not that it wasn't fun while it lasted but it was supposed to be a temporary part time gig and it's been 5 days a week for the last FULL YEAR.
In other puppy news I finally heard back from the Ohio people - they have turned us down. I don't know if my objection about the dewclaws played a part in it but - too bad. It was a deal breaker for me. It may have been a deal breaker for them as well.
Which leaves us with the Connecticut puppy as our next choice. I already passed the interview, Jane from Daisy Mae's past has offered to write to them as a reference, tell them they had the home visit conducted. So it should be just a formality that they approve us.
THEN there's the logistics of getting the puppy BACK home. 11 hour drive. and that's without stops for potty breaks and romping around. Fortunately J has already lined up the time off work so we should be able to go and pick him up.
so.
Hopefully I will have a sweet little puppy in my arms in less than two weeks?
HUZZAH HUZZAH HUZZAH!
