mundane details.
Sep. 26th, 2008 08:11 amI think I have a plan for reorganizing my office. I would still rather the desk was smaller but I'll let you know when it is finished. I may still have to do some book elimination but hopefully it won't be too bad.
The tea dying of the lace turned out beautifully. I whipped up some rather narrow harem pants last night (bridal satin-cream) and I'm ready to begin adding the lace. I think I should have doubled the amount of lace I bought. I may have to hand sew it to the pants but - that might actually be easier.
I took tiny little snips of each with me to the fabric store yest. and it looked fabulous with just about every colour I tried. It would take on the colour it was next to - when I put it next to red - it became peach, next to browns, it became more ecru. What an amazingly versatile colour.
I also scored an awesome belt at the thrift store. Once I take it apart it will yield 4 oval shaped metal medallions to use on the belt. They are a muted bronze.
I should also try to remember to swing by Daniel's shop next week with some of my jewelry and costuming so he can see what I'm talking about.
Top priorities for the day
-dance practice
-sewing
-clean the d*mn house! what a mess!
-prepare for office reorganization.
-sort through my dance papers - also a real mess. hmmmmm. I wonder if I could fit that filing cabinet INTO the closet with the bookshelf - probably not ....
