(no subject)

waffling on the next song to breakdown and choreograph.
- definitely looking for a tribal fusion sound  - so I'm looking at several songs off the Maduro Shimmer Sustain album.

Isdes - which I love but is kind of shorter than I'd like at only 3min.
Shimmer Sustain - a little long - 4:40
Minaretinal 3:30

or maybe Penumbras....3:59

yeah - maybe Penumbras.... hmmmmm.

or... Discordia 3:46 (off the Juno Wakes album)

And the Lebanese piece -  Jimaal Am Tourkas.  - done.  It's bouncy & fun.  Now I just need to learn it.  - before I start teaching it.

I like Shimmer Sustain for a fusion sword routine; works really well. :) Not sure what those other tunes are. Is the Lebanese piece by Emad Sayyah?

Yes it is by Emad Sayyah. It was hard to choose from so many great songs off that album but the first song I picked wasn't working out for me choreography wise, this one did.

I'm having a b*tch of a time with choosing the tribal fusion song though - they are all so GOOD!

I'll have to look up the Emad songs. :) I agree about tribal fusion music, too--lots of good stuff! "Splinters" would be really cool for the right kind of drum solo. If ... you like drum solos. ;) (I know you don't.)
