So I'm busy working out the choreography for my intermediate Wed class.

and I turn to J & ask ... do you like my song? 

and he says - No actually - not at all.

WHAT? 

now normally he doesn't like my bellydance music but he really doesn't like this one.  And I'm surprised... it's horns & peppy, energetic - to me it has a sort of spicy jazz sound.

Too bad buddy - you are likely to hear a lot of it.  Especially if I am teaching it out of the house for the next 6 weeks!

as a general rule we despise each others music but now and then we find something the other likes.

so - yes he tolerates it but it makes driving anywhere together difficult.

...actually... this reminds me of a situation of mine... but I don't have any bellydance peeps to tell it to:

My fiance doesn't like it when I wear my bellydancing gear... out in public. He doesn't mind seeing me dance... I wore my newest outfit with a mask for Halloween and sent him photos and he got really upset. He thinks I'm too heavy/fat to be wearing my dance gear outside of an all female gym or dance class. He thought my outfit was highly unflattering.

Maybe he thought I danced with a t-shirt on and long pants. Hah!

It was one of those WHAT? moments when he said he didn't like the photos.
