So.  Saw my Family Doctor today.

I am in AWESOME EXCELLENT HEALTH.

My cholesterol is good.

My blood pressure is good.

all my blood work came back fine.

he didn't even say anything about the couple -10 pounds I put on since last year.

but guess what....

I get to book my first mammogram.

there better be cookies after.

Good for you! :) (I doubt the dr cares much about a few pounds added.) I don't remember any cookies after my mammogram, but there were many goodies after a blood donation. ;)

Hey, why are they starting mammos now? I thought the norm with Canadian health care was to start screening at 50?

Oh yeah, a baseline. I forgot I had one at 37.

Yep, I'm doing fine, thank you! Still dancing, yes. Took three months off this summer due to the heat and a leg injury, but I'm back at classes and practicing at home and going to shows and might be putting on a full solo, 20-min. performance in December. :) Going to see The Indigo's Le Serpent Rouge in San Francisco next month! A friend of mine is treating me since I treated them to a Nanna Candaleria show back in July. :D

How are you??

I'm recovering slowly from an ankle injury/swelling (only on the Left)- not sure what caused it, had a bunch of tests - all show me as 100% healthy. I'm currently experimenting with different things to see what works & what doesn't. I've given up caffeine and aspartame this week - which seems to be helping more than anything else I've tried.

Teaching - but less. between low enrollment and injury... oh well.

I just booked tickets for BombayBellywood today. BDSS - latest but it's in Canada - 2hr drive but we're going to make a "girl's night" of it. Should be fun.

have an occasional job with the post office - I really like it and hope it turns into something regular, I do fill in's for sick/vacation days. They are nice people which is really important to me.

Ankle injury? :\ Maybe soft tissue problem? (I noticed that caffeine was causing bad muscle cramps in my lowers legs and feet, so I gave it up, too.)

Teaching. :) Yeah, Nancy's classes have low enrollment right now, too, and there haven't been classes for two weeks now for various reasons, but... they're still happening.

Bombay Bellywood? Is that a BDSS thing or something separate? Girl's Nights Out usually are fun. :)

Good on the P.O. job! Almost any job is better than none, right? I agree, it's important to like the people you work with. I hope it turns into something more for you. :)

I think it was related to dancing in the parade/show after back in July ... who knows. The swelling was really horrid though. It's almost, almost normal but not quite and really it's been far too long now - and the reason for all the tests. They've ruled out just about everything but still no explanation.

glad to hear you are still dancing and good to hear from you as well.

Dancing can do all kinds of weirdness to our bodies! I've had foot troubles, too, although not generally a lot of swelling. Did they find out if the swelling was fluid or actually tissue itself inflamed? It is weird when they don't have an explanation.

Thanks for the link!

I took a break, from a few things (obviously), but it was really good for me. I needed to. Now I think I'll find a better balance with all this stuff. (And thanks. Good to talk to you, too. :))
