bite your tongue.
Dec. 24th, 2010 03:04 pm"Remember the reason for the season"
Winter Solstice?
Saturnalia?
Mithra's Birth? -( Mithra the Sun God had his birthday later stolen by Christian rulers when they couldn't suppress the annual gift giving and celebrations associated with the previous widespread religious practices - although they tried D@mn Hard.)
oh well.
I'm just smiling & biting my tongue.
Happy Holidays for WHATEVER you are currently celebrating even if it is just celebrating in a day off from work!

Date: 2010-12-24 09:43 pm (UTC)So Santa (not St. Nick) and his elves and his reindeer (and presents) are the reason for my season. It uh, kinda ticks people off when you respond with 'The reason? Oooooh, you mean buying my husband the PS3 he's always wanted so I get to play Gran Turismo 5 and drive the Top Gear test track? Don't worry, I'm so not forgetting that!'
Oh! And eggnog. With Southern Comfort in it. TOTALLY a part of the season!
Happy Holidays!
