Are you a fan of the Cheeky Girls DVD's?

You might want to know they are currently having a sale on THIS site. (*but only until Tomorrow!)

Not all of their videos but... some -

& some I already have - always a quality DVD with Michelle Joyce.

I really want Secrets of the Stage 3.  But... if I'm placing an order I should get more than one - yes?

So...

I already have...

Drills, Drills, Drills,
Killer Ziller
Ballet for Belly Dancers
Secrets of the Stage 1&2

I'm considering either or both of the Combination Nations... and/or Combinography with Bahaia
or maybe Turn it up - Spins & Turns..  or Totally Turkish?

I have that one. I really like it.

I can't decide if I should stop at 3 or add the Turns one.

Buy as many as you can and think you'd really use and get something out of! I don't regret any CheekyGirls DVD I've bought.

.... yeah but do I really NEED more videos?

I can't tell you how many remain unwatched on the shelf.

Do you have the turns one? I need to work on my turns but... I'm not fond of them so I can't see adding more turns to my choreography, I just incorporate a turn where needed... and in improv I turn when I feel like it to work the audience. I can't see just turning for the sake of spinning/turning.

I'm ordering Secrets of the Stage 2 & 3, Dancers by Dancers vol. 6 and Meaning in Movement (which looks really interesting and musically, right up my alley). :)

I might not bother with the Turns DVD for now. Hmmm, maybe later, like the Totally Turkish.

Update: I added two more to the cart. I hadn't ordered them yet. Since they're only $12 each and I'm pretty sure I'll use them eventually, I went ahead with the Flawless Floowork and the Totally Turkish. :)

so initially I thought... no that floorwork one is near useless for me because apart from sword... I almost never do floorwork because a)knee pain b)inappropriate venues

but it sounds like a really great workout.

I donno whether to curse or thank you! :P I shouldn't be spending money after the holidays but Drills Drills Drills seems like a perfect learning tool AND workout for my transition from being a beginner to intermediate student.

it's a really good DVD and it has a zills component as well.
I've used a few of the drills myself in class - I should pull it out and review it again.

Sorry! I know all about the not spending money but can't resist awesome deal!

How is their "Drills, Drills, Drills" video? That's something that I need at this moment in time.

I like it.

It gives some interesting ways to practice your technique - take the usual move and change your footing to alter weight distribution, that kind of thing & it has a zills section as I mentioned.

I like it - although haven't used it in a while. I like to use some of the drills from it in my intermediate class when we aren't performance focused.

Hmm, maybe I should look at grabbing that then. Does the Cheeky Girls site accept PayPal? *Goes off to look*
