what can I say... totally amazing show.
... you know... I've been reading a lot of stuff knocking the show. The fact that they have a girl on stilts, the polynesian bit, flamenco number, the brazilian carnival costumes... but you know the show is still more than 90% belly dance. And really when/how often do you get to see performers of this caliber. I guess I appreciate all aspects of dance and I really do see the cross over moves. *shrugs*
It was fabulous. Some grumbling from surrounding seatmates that Rachel Brice wasn't there - but since she will be in Detroit at Easter I'm not too disappointed. (I'm taking her workshop too - extra glee!) Sharon Kihara, Moira andZoe? Kami were still fabulous tribal style. Hey she's entitled to time off too.
I enjoyed every amazing minute.
Lots of costume changes. Stunning costumes but you'd expect that - Amazing - utterly amazing dancing. I could practice for a million years and never ever be ever close to that good. Wow.
Jilliana carried most of the show, Sonia looked really thin - but she usually does, Bozenka - amazing dancer but I like her better as a brunette, she's gone too blond for my taste. Sharon was -wow.
