I'm not sure I would still be dancing if it was only amateur & there are things that I definitely do like about being a 'professional'
I like teaching I like having a finished choreography I like needing a new costume I like the fact that my hobby pays for itself
I don't like the constant need for business advertising/promotion. I don't like the constant worry. I don't have enough time to develop my own skills/challenge myself because I'm usually dancing at the level of my students.
I'm ambivalent on the subject of performing.
so - no I don't think I do. As much as I b*tch about the business aspects, never having time to really heal from an injury, students that drive me crazy... I like being in the dance business too.
