I just got a call about a party gig. - previous client.
SURE - I'd love to dance at your party.
it's an Arabic party. with Arabic people.- awesome. no problem
Could you bring more songs with words? uhm. sure, anything in particular? no - just songs with words that people will know.

Habibi Ya Eini
Natasha Atlas? or Haifa Wehbe? but which songs?
does that mean yes or no to the Lebanese songs by Emad Sayyad I usually use. Some of those have lyrics....
When I first started getting into performing - I was specifically told NEVER perform to music with lyrics but the client is always right - now what do I do? it's just like the other client that wants me to dance to Oum Kalthoum. do you know how UN-danceable her stuff is?
If you know of something - suggest it. I'd LOVE to hear it!
