dancingleafSo I have a show next weekend.
it's an important show for ME. (because I hate dancing in front of other bellydancers and - this audience is ALL bellydancers)
the organizer had asked me to do wings - and I agreed - but I've decided I HATE them. mostly because they choke me unless I hook them into my costume rather than around my neck - and I HATE the piece of music that I had chosen and basically - HATE HATE HATE.
So i emailed the organizer and told her - nope can't do it. can I do something else? she says YES - but I need any music change by Saturday morning. and the three alternate songs that I'm looking at - I can't choose -
Inti Malekeh (my latest student choreography)
Ounousah (which means Femininity) - a future choreography - I'm wondering if the reason I like this song so much is the name. And it would be WRONG to choose a song for the name.
or lastly.
Samira Amira (Samira is a Princess)
they all are starting to sound the same to me. Well they are all Lebanese - I think they might even all be from the same composer - which is why they are in my playlist to begin with - I can rule out the first one - it would be the easiest because it is already finished I would just need to adapt to solo - but MY students know it - or most of it. I've been teaching it the last few weeks.
so that leaves me with the other two.
Jeff chose the Ounousah one. - well that settles that. - now I just need to DEAL WITH IT.
I hate being so indecisive and flighty. ugh.
