(no subject)

got a reply from my instructor.

Men are definately welcome.... although they may be a
bit of a minority.

BTW... are you planning on dancing a number for us?

uh...uh.... uh... no. I wasn't planning it.

I wasn't quite sure WHAT to say...

"I don't have anything planned -- but I wasn't planning to
stick to my chair either, I had expected to join in the open floor dancing.
I've improvised for an audience before but never in front of anyone with
any experience. It's easy to wing it when they don't know what they are
supposed to see anyway, I'll pass this time, probably next time though."

As a side note... I've been thinking of taking a dance name... "Anyana."

but ... maybe a translation of leaf would be better.

I also got myself a dance specific yahoo address today...

Anyana is pretty. I had a teacher who used to hand out a 4 or 5 paged sheet with suggestions for dance names. Of course, I just made mine up.

Thanks - Im hardly at the point were I need a stage name but I wouldn't mind getting a look at that sheet.

My current instructor is going by the name Najla - and I don't particularly like it. The other dancers if I can remember then from last night were Lana, Deserdra, Isis, Victoria, and some others I don't remember

I can't find the sheet. I think I through it out years ago when I came to the conclusion that I didn't like any of them for me and wanted to find my own name.
