new hip scarf.
Jan. 26th, 2005 09:30 amI mentioned my new hip scarf in the email to my instructor
I was so afraid yest before I started it. I'm was afraid of committing to it. Once I begin cutting fabric and put it on the sewing machine - I have to see it to completion... until then it exists in perfection in my mind. Once the first snip is made the possibility of error and disaster is upon me.
BUT I have just about finished sewing and it looks FABULOUS. I'm so impressed.
It looks WOW. better than the one I actually bought and paid money for! I just hope the beads don't fall off. I'll be looking for some fabric glue today to dot a little on the beaded portions that look iffy. That's the problem when you are working with pre-sewn trim - they don't secure things as well as I might have. But now that it is nearing completion and it looks so great I want to be sure it lasts.
I may actually post a picture I'm so pleased with myself.
