the workshop with Audra ... well

even though the room was colder than a walk in meat locker... I'm talking freezing. People, if they were not actively dancing, were walking around in their winter coats... I wish I'd dressed warmer that's for sure.

and Audra herself missed the first half of the workshop....

despite this- I had a great time.

Audra had brought one of her advanced students (Daniella) with her... for other purposes... (probably to either demo, or man her booth... or something.)

But it seems that when she, Audra, went to get out of her truck after arriving in Stratford... her sciatica when shooting down her back through her leg- so rather than teach our workshop - the husband of the sponser ended up taking Audra to the hospital... where they shot her up with some nice drugs.

She was able to make it for the second half of the workshop. Daniella did a very good job teaching drills & foundation moves for the morning.

In the afternoon Daniella demo'd the choreography while Audra ...er... spoke it, and we learned the combos that way... (it would have helped if Daniella had known the choreo - but she was learning it for the first time with us... so... all in all - pretty good.

Or - well - I thought I was doing really well with it. - better than I usually do anyway.... until I got home and decided I was going to try video taping it - or video taping what I remembered of it (I had notes and everything) but... I did not do well at all. :( big frowny face.)

So then I video'd myself doing the drills - and I did better with those - but now my butt is really really sore. But I might finally be getting the hang of the Suhalia glute squeezes etc.

however, I think I may have sprained my butt.,
