what a mess

dancingleafwell - the big desk is up in my office and the computer got moved to the new desk. I think I have everything plugged in correctly although... it seemed slow initially. I have to plug hubby's wireless D-link back in later. :( I thought that might be what was making it slow. So I took it out of the equation. He's not using it at the moment so it can wait a few days.
I will probably have to touch up the wall paint here and there. The cheesecake colour doesn't look so bad with the cherry wood of the desk
I'm still going to have to purge books.
I tried again to get my dad to volunteer to make me a bookcase. I might almost have him talked into it. He's decided he could coach me through it. Which - is close enough. I know if I bring the wood over there he won't let me play with his tools and will take over himself. And I don't mind doing the staining etc. so... If I can get a nice looking book case for my dining room - some of my rarely used books could go down there.
We managed to get a lot done today - Took the dogs for a long walk down the trail (7-8km) That was a mistake. They got full of burrs. I then had to spend an hour brushing them. Washed my truck, did the errands around town, cut the grass, had a nap -I needed it- got the larger desk disassembled in the garage and reassembled in my office AND got the computer relocated to the new desk.
just go go go here today. :)
