I actually generally try to stay away from people who are politically active. Watson is the first politician to whom I've taken a violent dislike. Is it because as I'm aging my political views are being stimulated? or just that some of the issues that are being addressed are ones that I care about? I'm jaded & disillusioned. Or just that the Conservatives are so... anti-everything I think is good about Canada.
Political platforms are all the same. Jobs? yeah everybody thinks their plan will work. Health care? yeah cuts to health care bad, increased funding good. Taxes - raising taxes bad, Cuts to social programs bad. but someone has to pay for things? I've stopped believing that tax money goes anywhere other than into the pocket of my elected officials (who vote themselves raises and cost of living increases and better pensions etc.) blah, blah, blah.
