I don't like the new Maduro CD Fin de Siecle.  I downloaded it last night from eMusic because I really like the other two CD's I have from them and thought hey Maduro, bound to be awesome.

but this last one - well - not at all up to snuff.

I do however like... many but not all ... of the tracks from Desert Wind: Kali Ma, Dances of Transformation.
good for veil, warm up, cool down, emotion stuff.

...It just isn't me. I don't think I would ever tell an artist I didn't like their work... that seems... ? mean? petty? small? Someone else might come along and love it. *shrugs*

It's not my favorite album of his, either; I like his other stuff better. I suppose it is up to a person's sense of ethics and an artist's sensitivity toward constructive criticism, although usually just more a case of personal taste. So, okay, uh... nix that part of the comment. ;)

I do like Helm. Haven't heard Beats Antique yet. :) I need to get caught up on the dance music. I've been a little out of it trying to get an infection under control and exercising & sweating have been off the table for awhile, unfortunately.

Music is a lot about personal impressions though. Sometimes I'm not in the right place to embrace a song, but it will speak to me later. Or I love it initially but hate it after I've heard it a few 100 times.
