trick or treater count

2005 - 187 - pouring rain.
2004 - 197 - (ran out of candy)
we kept track for the previous years but I've lost the numbers. :(


We were expecting way more this year - it was a beautiful warm night, it was a Friday night - no school tomorrow but with the changes to daylight savings time they didn't start until 6:20... and usually they start about 5:30, 6. so... does that account for the difference.

I'd type more but J & I have to go pick up a new hot water tank. :(

I don't know what in the world's going on around here, but we got a total of ONE trick-or-treater last night! I walked around outside and noticed most of the homes on the street didn't have their porch lights on, thus giving kids the message that they weren't handing out candy.

Party poopers. :\

We had 19. Up 4 from last year. Can't say I mind. Grady's too nuts.

I leave the dogs in the house and we sit in lawn chairs in the garage. I put up a folding table with my little TV on it and we watch bits of a movie in between treaters. It's never more than a few minutes between them.

It actually bothers the dogs a lot less now that we sit in the garage rather than have the kiddies at the door. (Although Mason never really cared and Pandora only cared about all these bags that smelled like food & she'd be poking her nose in their bags & scaring the kids.)

I like your setup and wish I could emulate it. :( Unfortunately, no go, and our porch is really, really small. I was half-thinking of sitting out there this year with my laptop and the candy. -_-;;;

Ours are going down because we live on a busier street with spread out houses and a few businesses. I keep trying to buy less, but they don't really sell in smaller qunitities than 80. I hope I didn't undo all my dieting and exercise this fall in one weekend.
