Princess Farhana is quite the character. I actually think she's pretty neat. I have her "Veil Obedience School: How to be a Material Girl" DVD, and I like it quite a lot. She has a very pleasant conversational teaching style, and an off-the-wall sense of humor (as if you couldn't tell from her DVD titles).

Sonya of Arabesque hosted her for some workshops when I lived in Chicago, but I was too broke to go. :( I heard nothing but good things about her, though.

Princess Farhana seems like a joke and is getting too much exposure since hooking up with Margaret Cho. IMHO. Of course, I haven't really seen her dance or any of her DVD's. Didn't think I wanted to after watching her in a rude video, "belly dancing" half-naked. I guess I don't agree that burlesque and belly dance belong together.
