I cannot find my zills anywhere.

I have 4 sets.

1 set of Neferetitis
1 set of Tinker zills
1 set of heavy single holed zills
&
1 set of crappy tin zills.

The only ones I can find are the crappy ones, not that I ever use the heavy single holed ones.
Obviously they are all hanging out together somewhere.

I thought they might be in the studio - but they weren't.

I've gone through every possible hiding place around here I can think of...

I know I wanted to buy another set but ... this is ridiculous.

It's driving me crazy. They have to be SOMEWHERE????

I'm hoping to borrow a pair from a friend. I hope they turn up - I really didn't want to buy another set...

if I do it will either be this pair...

or these...

I'd already have ordered the silver troika's if she took Paypal! but she doesn't. And I don't really want to invest in another set of Saroyan's. I'd probably wait for my workshop in April so I can hold them.

They have to turn up somewhere. Did you have them in a zill bag? ...The ones at Cleopatra's Bazaar look pretty good. They don't have sound clips??

Well, guess what? I was using my zills last night and decided to buy another pair. So I just did. Saroyans. The MC-900's. I want something with a deeper tone this time. $46 total with shipping & tax. But, his are really good and I know they'll be worth it.

Cleopatra's Bazaar is Canadian resale. If I order from her I can just have shipping direct, no delay, no border, no customs & no dollar conversion.

US/Canadian is about 1.22 right now... so... $46 US = $58 Canadian?, $30 Canadian is $23 US...

they are still Saroyan - She just sends you to Saroyan website for the sound clips. They all sound bad to me. I hate zills, nails on a chalkboard. Hence the reason I really really don't want to buy another set.

They just have to be here somewhere!

Gotcha. Yeah, everything in Canada was more expensive when I visited (back in '91)! What if someone bought them in the U.S. and then just had them shipped to you? Hmmm... then the shipping would probably be a lot more.

I don't like the high-pitched, tinny sounds of most zills, especially the beginner's zills--ugh! I'll have two good pair, and only with deeper tones, although the pair I have now is a bit loud, but they're good for being heard over loud music.

Keep looking! They gotta be around somewhere.

shipping to Canada is always about ... $5-10 more. You just learn to factor it in - check shipping charges before you order- etc.

sometimes Customs decides to tack on extra (tax) sometimes not.
Usually if it is under $100 they let it slide - but not always.
SOMETIMES - they hold it for a week or two while they think about it.

Technically - I am importing goods from a foreign country. i.e. YOU GUYS.

I'm hoping to borrow a set from a friend - & hope mine turn up.

Can you get zills over the counter?

Did you finally find them? There is hope: My missing glove showed up in the Zehrs lost and found 3 days later.

maybe - but usually you need a specialized supplier

I know they'll turn up. Right AFTER I break down and buy another set.
I might try posting on facebook and see if anyone local has a set they are willing to sell - cheap.
